What does helping Under serve Native Americans means to you?
Pastor Steve says " helping any group of people in need of adequate housing is a great way to share Gods love, and its parts of the church duty and the opportunity of helping any groups of people such as the American Indians."
What are your thoughts on how to improve the problems regarding Native Americans?
Rev Steve says " we can help with housing, food...and also that they need jobs and regular incomes, like settle up casino is a way to find a jobs for American Indians,the casino has do a great job contributing to help Native Americans with money"
Do you think the issue of Native Americans today is a serious problem? or is it something that can be put off? 
Rev Steve says " The issue of the Native Americans today is not as serious as it was 20 years ago.  back then  they don't have casinos that helps them move their income."
Have you ever Volunteer in helping Native Americans? if so how?
Rev Steve said "Yes when in Pastor Julian Church, they have several reservation in their church. that's work with Native Americans, help building houses and windows for poor Native Americans."
What are your thoughts on the opposing views?
Rev Steve said "Many people feel like since they have lots of money form their casinos, many American people think that they don't need any help... thought actually they do need help they are struggling"

Native Americans students faces many challenges regarding their educations, challenges such as not  knowin to, filled in aplications. the reason being because Native american sstudents are the first in their family to consider college, and their is no one in the family to assists them, through the process for search for a good collages thats suit their interests. the article aslo talks about different programs created to assists Native Americans students with their educations. so that they could reach their goal, and have more chances, and to be able to compet with other racial groups suchs as the African Americans, the white Americans, the Hispanic.....

Our interfareance to the native americans  back in those days has cause so many problems for them today. and this is the time for the young americans teen, and adult today to help contribute to the health and and probelms to the native Americans. this is one of the issues of the dropped out of native Americans students in school. Vivian Alphonse "Her mother had cancer and was weak from chemotherapy. The bills piled up and eventually, Alphonse and her mother were evicted from their home."

 
this is a research that proves that the dropped out of school for young Vivian is not an usually thing because she isn't the only one that going through this, many other Native American Students are facing the same issue, and some for other issues; "Alphonse's mother is a member of the Salish tribe of British Columbia's Vancouver Island. Data compiled by state agencies shows her story of dropping out of high school is not unusual among native students"
Many young Native Americans Students are dropping out of school because of some family issues and sorts. researches have shown the percentile rate of dropped out rate and comparing the rate with other Americans groups..." Reports by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction reveal that Native American students in grades nine through 12 dropped out of high school at a rate of 11.5 percent during the 2007-2008 school year. That was the highest out of five racial groups surveyed -- American Indian, Asian/Pacific Islander, black, Hispanic and white."
Judy in her article shows research evidence of the rate of dropped for Native Americans high school students is been increasing high than other other racial groups in America "Preceding years show the same patterns. Native American students have far fewer numbers compared to the four other racial groups, but their dropout rates have continually topped the charts." 
A professor and a tribal member of the Native Americans, stated that the " He said another factor contributing to high dropout rates is the history native tribes have had with European settlers involving war, disease and marginalization"

this article is talks about a native american girl Vivian Alphonse, who dropped out from high school due to some family issues. not only does this article only talks about Vivian but also talks about many others Native Americans study who also dropped out of high school for other issues. this article also give a rate of the number of native Americans students who dropped out and the article also comparing the dropped out percentage to other types of american groups such as the African Americans, Hispanic, white and Asians. the percentage of dropped out of native Americans is higher than the other groups.

Each summer Sierra Service Project  takes about 2,000 teens to five Native American Indian Reservations in Nevada, Arizona and Idaho to help the local communities. in this the author is stating how many youth get to go some services, and by stating this she is trying to recruit more youths to join the program.

Senior Project Proposal

Proposed Topic in the form of an  Essential Question:

How can I, as an individual help undeserved Native American community in the west?
  Rationale for Choice
What about this topic appeals to you? Why did you choose it?
what appeals me the most about MY topic is the meaning.  SSP which stands for Sierra Service Project. meaning  helping underserved Native American community in the west; Sierra Nevada are. I choose this because I like the idea of helping others. I like to make other people Happy, I like bringing joy to people; and also the idea of many individuals such as I dedicated their time to work with others to help those who are in need of help. 
What do you already know about this subject?
I no that this is a organization created by churches that recruit teens and adults and take them to this mission trip to help build houses, wheel chairs ramps, fix roof... for poor Native Americans citizens. 

What are you hoping to learn about the subject?
well in regards to all my volunteering works that am gonna do for this subject that i choose, I will like to learn how to build a wheel chair ramps, also learn how to build houses. it will be a really good experience for me; and am excited to do it. 
What are you most interested in regarding the topic?
I am most interested to find out more facts about this organization, more fact about other things they do.                                                                                                                                               
What potential risks or challenges do you foresee for your project?
I don't see any potential risk or challenges of doing this project. I sort have a lots of information regarding to my topic; I have an idea of what am gonna write about my topics. I have lots of sources to find out more debt about my topic. so am set... :)
